We enjoy driving our Leaf, and it makes you realise how good these cars are. That's why you see so many Leafs driving around. These vehicles represent great value for money, are easy to drive, straight forward to charge, and very cost effective to run. About $3 in electricity on night rates for 150km of range versus about $20 for fuel in our petrol vehicle. 90% of our driving is in and around Christchurch, and the range of the Leaf easily meets our daily requirements, bit of a no brainer really :)

We are really enjoying our leaf. We have driven it all over Wellington and are looking forward to taking it to Auckland. It is such a great car for driving around the city as you are not sitting at traffic lights wasting fuel and pick up is very quick. We have used fast charge once when we went to Masterton and it only took 14 minutes and cost under $7. It drove very well over the Remutaka Hill.

We’ve only been driving it a week and already completely relaxed about the range and ease of recharging out and about. Kind of wondering why it took us so long.

I love my car, had a leaf that was involved in an accident just after Christmas and this one replaced it. It has more features than my other one and still low mileage at what I considered to be a very reasonable price. Electric cars are the way of the future and I highly recommend people to buy one, extremely cheap to run and have plenty of power. With more and more charge stations popping up all over NZ it makes sense to own one, you can travel and get to have a break when you charge the car, so good for you and the environment.

I drive a 136km round trip to work each day. With a 100% charge I can easily commute to and from work and normally arrive home with 15-20% charge remaining (which for me equates to about 36km in range remaining). For the times where the Leaf is a little low on charge, I use a nearby rapid charger for a quick top-off before heading home. So far I've clocked up over 4500km in mileage and have saved in excess of $880! We love the EV and can't wait to,see what the future brings.

Great little car for a first EV , battery SOH very important if your daily use is more than 80kms . If you like technology like me then this is the future , I spent half of the first week sitting in the car with a tablet and leafspy and google translate and still cant believe how cheap it is to run when charging at home from a fitted caravan type plug in the garage .
